The Eastern Mediterranean University ranking increased its scores last year from 69.4 to 79.5, moving from 301-400 to 201-300 this year. Thus, the university moved up two groups in the world university impact rankings in a span of two years, moving from the 401-600 band to the 201-300 band. According to the classification, the Eastern Mediterranean University is First ranked University in Northern Turkish Cyprus.
The university offers excellent education through 107 undergraduate and school programs and 103 graduate and doctoral programs offered by 12 colleges, 4 schools, foreign languages and an English language preparatory school.

Documents required for undergraduate students
- A copy of the high school diploma and transcript (mark sheets).
- One passport size photo
- Copy of passport (related page) or birth certificate
- A copy of proof of English language proficiency, if available
Transfer students or diploma holders
- Transfer requests must be for the second, third, fourth or fifth semester. Associate's degree or National Diploma holders generally start from the fifth semester.
- The student must not have been dismissed from the university.
- GPA must be at least 2.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent.
- Attach copies of your high school diploma/diploma and associate degree or national diploma
- Academic record of previous semesters / mark sheets (transcript)
- Brief description of previous chapters
- Copy of passport or birth certificate

Notice An English translation of these documents is necessary if they are in any language other than English
- An official transcript of all university-level courses (Bachelor/Master’s). Comparative grades/marks table if the transcript's CGPA is not outside 4.00.
- Certified copies of diplomas received from a university or equivalent institution (i.e. 4-year Bachelor’s degree study). An English translation of these documents is necessary if they are in any language other than English.
- Documentation of scores obtained in academic English language proficiency tests/tests. This is not valid for programs where the language of instruction is Turkish. Native speakers must indicate place of birth and citizenship. All others must submit documents for any of the following English language proficiency tests.
